The process of cutting and stripping wires is the initial stage of electrical harness production, requiring precision and flexibility in adjusting process parameters to meet the specific project requirements. At OmegaOne, we utilize state-of-the-art machinery to ensure consistent quality and efficiency in our production processes.
We carry out the wire cutting and stripping processes using advanced machines from Schleuniger and Komax. These are operated by skilled Cutting Zone Operators as well as Maintenance Technicians, who perform regular inspections and repairs. The entire process is monitored using the OEE indicator.
The wire cutting and stripping process can be integrated with various peripheral machines, such as inkjet printers (using black and white ink), labeling machines, ring markers, laser printers, and taping machines. This integration enhances efficiency and further automates production, ensuring a seamless and highly optimized workflow.
Thanks to the fact that our machines are equipped with unwinders and collecting trays, one operator can simultaneously manage 2-3 machines.
In our cutting area, there are two Crimp Center machines, which, in addition to cutting wires, apply seals, crimp wires from one or both sides, and also feature a double crimp module (connecting two wires with a single connector).
Our cutting area consists of the following machines:
Schleuniger:
- CrimpCenter 64,
- CrimpCenter 36S,
- PowerStrip 9580,
- PowerStrip 9500,
- MultiStrip 9480 M,
- Uni Strip 2300,
- EcoStrip 9380,
- Eco Cut
Komax:
- Kappa 320
We have the capability to cut and strip single and multi-core wires of various cross-sectional diameters, ranging from AWG28 to AWG2. This allows us to execute projects with very diverse technical requirements.
The cutting and stripping process is designed to achieve the highest quality at every stage, while minimizing waste and costs. Quality parameters are defined according to the IPC 620 standard.
