Project stages

Start of collaboration

In 2021, we began collaborating with a refrigerated display case manufacturer belonging to the Japanese corporation Daikin. Our proven quality and timeliness led to our nomination for a larger project. In May 2023, we were invited to the supplier open days for the newly constructed heat pump factory.

Workshops and design

In November 2023, we conducted workshops at Daikin's headquarters. Together with the Client's engineers, we began designing the complete wiring for the new device, taking into account all functions and requirements.

Documentation and component selection

We were responsible for selecting the cross-sections and types of cables, connectors, and terminals while simultaneously designing harnesses for both single-phase and three-phase devices. We also designed and produced cable gland insulation components using Makromelt technology.

Prototyping and project execution

Throughout the project, we created prototypes in line with successive revisions of the documentation, adapting to the Client’s guidelines. Our engineers oversaw the compliance of cable cross-sections, connector selection, and IP ratings, executing much of the project remotely using Excel and STP files. The production launch was scheduled within nine months of the first meeting in November 2023.

Our harnesses control many key functions and components of the heat pump:

\\

power the compressor, enabling heat transfer

\\

control the valves regulating the flow of the refrigerant

\\

control the fans that force airflow through the heat exchangers

\\

power and control the circulation pumps

\\

provide connections to temperature, pressure, and humidity sensors that monitor and control the operation of the pump

\\

power and control safety systems, protecting the device from damage and malfunctions

\\

provide connections to control panels and user interfaces, enabling the monitoring and adjustment of the heat pump's operating parameters

How did we achieve this?

Flexibility and adaptability

Our team of engineers and designers flexibly adapted the technical documentation to accommodate requested modifications, enabling quick and efficient responses to the Client's changing requirements.

Close collaboration with the Client

Regular consultations and open communication with the Client allowed us to thoroughly understand their needs and expectations. This enabled us to precisely tailor our solutions to the Client's specifications.

Advanced tools and experience

The use of advanced design tools and our extensive industry experience enabled precise modeling, simulations, and the quick implementation of adjustments.
